As an artist I try to touch the viewers heart and spirit, not primarily expect outside recognition of an existing form of nature. Sometimes I use known shapes though be it in a stylized even abstract way to bring across feelings, happy or sad, tender or strong. By using all the possibilities of the materials -be it stone, wood or metal-, exploiting all the forms, volumes, textures, negative spaces, even lines, I want to create a new reality. I love combining masses, use contrasts to translate mythical messages into our daily life. There are stories told, too, at times, dramatic or poetic ones, sad or funny. It also thrills me to sometimes bring beauty to our surroundings, be it in nature, gardens -or in our direct dwellings- houses or workspaces. Born Training |
